Vriti Advani, M.D. completed her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in 2006. She then spent three years in Dublin, Ireland training in the surgical field and was awarded the intercollegiate membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, England, and Edinburgh. In 2009, she began her surgical residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL.She received numerous awards during this time for her surgical skills, technical skills, teaching skills, and contributions towards medical student education, as well as awards for academic excellence. She has had several publications throughout her residency training in multiple peer review journals. Dr. Advani graduated as Chief Resident in General Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2014. Following this, she completed her fellowship training in Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery, surgical Endoscopy, and interventional ERCP at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY.
