Carey Coco has joined Dr. William Cooper with Gessler Clinic’s Orthopedic Department as a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Coco will be enhancing Dr. Cooper’s practice by providing continuous orthopedic care to patients of all ages. Her specialty includes chronic joint pain management and treatment for acute injuries. The addition of Ms. Coco to the team will offer patients increase treatments options including ultrasound guided joint injections and platelet-rich plasma therapy.
Ms. Coco began her undergraduate coursework at Louisiana State University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and continued her education with an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from University of Louisiana in Monroe.
After receiving her degrees, Ms. Coco moved to Florida in 2006. Over this period of time, she has worked continuously as a registered nurse (RN) in multiple specialty areas at Lakeland Regional Health and Winter Haven Hospital including trauma intensive care, neurology and interventional radiology. With over a decade of RN experience, in 2016 Ms. Coco made the decision to begin her advanced degree as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner earning an advanced degree from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor Michigan.
Ms. Coco is focused on providing overall wellness for patients with a specific focused effort in orthopedic care. She is welcoming new patients.
