POSITION SUMMARY:
Radiologic technologist performs quality Radiographs for interpretation by Radiologist. These include routine fluoroscopy and urological exams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform proper films requested by physicians that are suitable for interpretation.
- Assist Radiologist in obtaining above.
- Familiar with department routines, supplies and general operation of department.
- Must be able to use all equipment.
- Inform supervisor of supply and service needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Any error in judgement could lead to patient complaints, physician complaints and possible legal issues.
CONTACTS:
High patient contact. High contact with co-workers. Must have good customer service skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Radiology department. Adequate lighting. Heavy equipment usage. Average amount of noise.
Stress level medium to high.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION:
All radiologic equipment, Computer.
EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma/GED; ARRT; Advanced State License
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Registry eligible
Preferred: 1-2 years experience R.T.
ABILITIES:
Required: Good radiography skills, good customer service skills, professional
caring attitude.
REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:
Must have full use of arms and legs; must have excellent eyesight and hearing; must be able to stand for long periods of time; must be able to handle heavy equipment and assist patient on and off tables. Very physical job.
