Endocrinologist Brian Lake, D.O. Joins Gessler Clinic
Gessler Clinic welcomes Endocrinologist Brian Lake, D.O. to its practice. Dr. Lake received his D.O. degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri in 2004, then went on to complete his internship and Internal Medicine Residency at Northside Hospital and Tampa Bay Heart Institute in St. Petersburg in 2007. He completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Medical Genetics at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC in June 2009.
All Gessler Clinic patients who have existing appointments are responsible for keeping their appointments. If an appointment must be canceled for any reason, patients must cancel at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Effective January 1, 2009, Gessler Clinic, P.A. charges $25.00 for any appointments not canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Also, it is Gessler Clinic, P.A.’s policy that co-payments be made prior to your appointment.
Gessler Clinic welcomes Hospitalists Alex Viegas, M.D. and Michael Jaglal, M.D. Dr. Viegas and Dr. Jaglal are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and provide high quality, continuous care to patients of Winter Haven Hospital who are referred to them during their stay.
A weekend Walk-in Medical Clinic for established Gessler patients is now available. The Walk-in Clinic provides treatment of minor care needs such as colds, flu, minor ailments and injuries on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Clinic.
Weekend Mammograms are now available for established Gessler patients. Appointments must be made in advance for Saturday or Sunday appointments between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Digital Mammography, now available at Gessler Clinic, offers advantages and conveniences that traditional film mammograms do not. Gessler Clinic encourages mammography to aid in the early detection of breast cancer.
ACR and AIUM Accreditation - Gessler Clinic has received accreditation from the American College of Radiology in Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, CAT Scan and MRI; and accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound of Medicine for OB/GYN Ultrasound. This demonstrates that Gessler Clinic has met or exceeded national high practice standards of patient care, consistent excellence, and the latest technology following an evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
